So this is kinda overdue at this point but for those of you that dont know… Yes, I left Yng Pro.
First things first, Andrew and I are still BFF and it has nothing to do with, nor has it affected, our friendship (except for the fact that he’s too busy for me now).
So how do I get into this without getting into this?
I’m busy, I keep myself that way, and it only recently came to my attention in an epiphany regarding how anti social I am. I fill my time with things to keep me busy as a way to not have to deal with people, not cause I dont like people in general, but cause im kinda shy and not good at small talk. Since I put all this together I am trying to make an effort to not be as busy, go out more, be friendlier and stop putting on my cool guy act and introducing myself.
I got to school so I have lots of class and homework, I have an internship and Mishka, now that my unemployment is up I have to get a job, I love spending quality time with my girlfriend and hanging out with my pup and bringing her to the park. This fills my week. Every spare minute of my time was spent on Yng Pro, I started putting it before the things in my life that need my attention and everything was starting to suffer. I am trying to work harder on school and not just doing the minimum to get by, and having more time to breathe and relax makes me a lot less of an asshole (sorry for last month babe!!).
This is not a bad thing. It’s the right decision for me right now as much as it sucks to walk away from Yng Pro. Since I left Andrew has decided to keep it going so its still in good hands. Im so excited to see where the company goes and will be first in line to grab stuff as the seasons start to drop. I obviously know whats coming and once you do you will see why im excited for it. Also, this is not the end for me. I go to Parsons for a reason and I still have the same goal of designing for my own brand and at some point opening a store… I just dont know when that will be. I think right now the majority of my time needs to go to the important places and I think everything will fall into place nicely.
